LEX Products is seeking a dynamic Inside Sales Rep with a technical background as an electrician, lighting designer or related. The position is a solution provider to our customers and prospects. Inside Sales Rep's at Lex Products work directly with entertainment production companies, TV/film studios, generator companies, electrical distributors and other markets. Lex Products provides superior power distribution and control systems to the most demanding markets.
The successful candidate will build strong customer relationships by producing and following up on quotes, prospecting for new customers, responding to customer inquiries, and producing sales materials.
This position will be located either out of our Shelton, CT office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Promote customer satisfaction through open communication and relationship building
• Develop mutually beneficial relationships with customers based on trust and understanding
• Drive sales growth to meet or exceed quota for the week, month, quarter and year
• Understand the needs and expectations of the customers and provide relevant solutions
• Respond to customer inquiries in a prompt, accurate and sincere manner; Triaging time-sensitive customer requests efficiently and effectively
• Contact customers via email or phone to inform them of new products, follow up on quotations and obtain feedback on product/service
• Complete and return the weekly sales report
• Produce quotes on products to fit the requirements of the customer applications
• Analyze current sales funnel and projects to determine sales opportunity
• Collaborate with sales team to figure strategic sales methods
• Interact with departments that are involved in the sales process to close sales, relay competitive information or to support customer needs
• Provide/source technical support to customers when needed
• Organize customer database in order to effectively track sales trends, product demand and competitive factors
• Continue to train and expand knowledge on product, function, interpersonal growth and job skills
• Provide friendly service and enthusiastic guidance to Customer inquiries via phone and email
• Actively participate in, daily situational, weekly sales meeting and monthly one on one RAP with manager
• Answer a high volume of in-bound calls and email inquiries daily
• Maintain Customer Master Files to keep information up to date with customer preferences and technical documents
• Supporting customers in navigating the website
• Enter verbal sales orders when needed
• Troubleshooting problem orders, shipping issues and delivery problems if Sales Support is unable to accomplish these tasks
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
• Experience working for a company selling design-to-order electrical products is preferred.
• Experience in Entertainment or Industrial applications is preferred.
• Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP) ex. SAP, Oracle, Microsoft NAV, Made2Manage.
• College degree in business, sales, electrical and/or theater applications (preferred) or the equivalent combination of hands on experience and a high school diploma/GED.
• Electrical license or field technician certificate is a plus.
