-- Position Summary --
The Intern/Event Assistant will be an integral member of a growing team, playing a critical role in onsite event logistics for intimate, high-profile events ranging from feature screenings to VIP dinners, artist showcases, musical performances, photo/video shoots, and others. This position requires full production support with errand running, decor styling, guest services, vendor management, and many other details that go into the physical work of setting up an event.
In addition to event responsibilities, the Intern/Event Assistant will play a key role in office administration, marketing initiatives and public relations projects. This position requires apprx. 10 hours per week of in-office and virtual work; event days are mandatory and will call for extra hours on-location. Compensation for the position includes school credit, portfolio clips and references; plus Event Assistant stipend/bonus for each onsite event.
Please note upcoming Event Dates & Times: Thursday, 8/10; Saturday, 8/12; Saturday, 8/26; Tuesday, 8/29 from approximately 12pm - 11pm each day.

... Production setup/breakdown, errands and client service

Marketing & Public Relations
... Client/market research, brainstorm and email projects done remotely
... Creative deck presentations, copy writing, images/visual inspiration
... Media relations, outreach and project management
... Office/administrative tasks, as needed -- to support project organization, quality of work and overall standard of excellence
Admin
... Calendar management, scheduling calls and meeting invites
... Taking notes on phone calls, event walk-through's and meetings
... Maintaining organization of files and emails

... A love of (and/or obsession with) organization, attention to detail and making sure nothing slips through the cracks of life
... Clear and reliable communication skills, as well as strong people skills
... Positive attitude with a calm, cool and collected personality -- under all circumstances (no matter what!)
... Genuine desire to learn, grow, gain real-world experience and make valuable connections
... Ability to stay humble and admit mistakes when necessary is critical; honesty is a must, as well as tact and good etiquette
... Discretion, privacy and willingness to sign non-disclosure agreements as needed to maintain strict client confidentiality

... Prior event planning experience in school, sororities or similar organizations
... Experience working with VIP's and providing excellent client service/hospitality
... Ability to work independently (i.e. make things happen on your own), but also be a team-player (i.e. gets along with pretty much everyone)
... Proficiency with all Google Drive applications, especially Sheets and Slides
... Graphic design skills are a plus+
... Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
... Must be at least 21 years of age
... Senior-level undergraduate (class of 2018) preferred
