We are looking for an experienced Communications Strategist who is detailed-oriented and enthusiastic. This position will be responsible for all aspects of publicity efforts for the company and its clients via Hispanic broadcast, print, radio, social media and online. Position will service current celebrity clients to meet their objectives for success and also have the ability to acquire new clients. Great writing and communication skills are a must. Oral and written fluency in English and Spanish a must. This role reports directly to the EVP of Marketing and Endorsements.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience with entertainment and/or celebrity publicity, especially in the Hispanic market. Agency or studio experience is a plus.
• Knowledge and understanding of Hispanic media, trends & audiences in the U.S. as well as Latin America.
• Knowledge of social media and successful strategies
• Great Hispanic press contacts with the proven ability to pitch and deliver content.
• Outstanding verbal and writing skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and stay cool under pressure
• Ability to multi-task while keeping an eye on achieving big picture goals
• Creative, outside the box thinker and problem solver
Responsibilities:
• Pitch to new clients for PR and social media services
• Strategize and brainstorm new and innovative publicity campaign ideas for clients consistently.
• Create press releases and service for coverage
• Pitch stories and garner media coverage (includes planning, research and brainstorming angles for coverage)
• Service press material for coverage (EPK, press releases, etc.)
• Assist coordination of junkets including inviting, confirming press attendance and coverage
• Continually develop and maintain strong media/press contacts in U.S. and Latin America
