Flynt Management Group, LLC. is searching for an experienced Publicist. Responsibilities include the following:
Plan, develop and execute comprehensive, creative and strategic publicity campaigns for assigned projects, working closely with internal teams including marketing and division leadership.
Pitch and field press inquiries.
Build and maintain media lists (vertical, traditional and digital) and establish working relationships with key contacts.
Plan, write, edit and distribute press releases, materials and press kits.
Screen and compile press mentions.
Fulfill media requests and inquiries in a timely manner.
Staff and assist with events, talent appearances and interviews as assigned
Fulfill photo requests and staff on-location shoots as needed.
Assist publicity and marketing teams with publicity projects, mailings, press monitoring, press list creation and other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Director of Public Relations.
Developing creative campaign strategies and pitches for digital editorial features, network talent, partnerships and business initiatives, products, and executives.
Pitching and secure coverage in trade publications, newspapers, magazines, radio and online media.
Thorough knowledge of industry and trends.
Identify opportunities and create, frame and proactively pitch story ideas to targeted media.
Scheduling and cover talent interviews and appearances.
Coordinating events that generate buzz.
Monitoring and conduct outreach via social media.
Developing and maintain media lists and relationships with press.
Generating innovative ideas and participate in brainstorming sessions.
Managing projects including: status reports, media monitoring, coordination of press materials.
Servicing media requests and act as network source of information on talent, executives, programs, products and brands.
QUALIFICATIONS
4-5 years of experience, preferably with a media, PR, technology, or social organization.
An ideal candidate would have existing relationships with press covering digital media, TV trade, business and/or technology.
The position requires excellent judgment and strategic thinking, multi-tasking, thriving in a faced-paced environment, creativity, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A deadline driven self-starter with a mature attitude and the ability to deal with pressured situations will excel.
A four-year college degree required.
