Flynt Management Group, LLC. is looking for an experienced, hard-working Paralegal to be part of the Corporate Legal team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage internal workers' compensation process, including gathering information, coordinating with outside counsel and claims administrator, and acquiring internal approvals.
Assist with incident report review and follow-up.
Assist with the maintenance of ongoing status report.
Assist with intellectual property portfolio matters such as gathering evidentiary specimens.
Assist with document management system implementation and the processing and calendaring of signed agreements.
Assist with entity formation and maintenance.
Perform occasional legal research.
Assist with reviewing, drafting, revising and negotiating contracts.
Assist with the preparation, update and maintenance of form agreements.
Perform ad hoc related assignments and projects as requested by supervising Corporate Counsel or outside counsel.
Assist with litigation discovery requests and third party subpoena document production.
Assist with reviewing and processing department invoices and other light administrative duties.
Timely follow through on all assignments and projects.
Provide assistance in the procurement, assembly and organization of due diligence materials.
Prepare, or assist in the preparation of, letters, memos, reports and other various correspondences.
QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree from a four year college or university.
Paralegal certificate from a paralegal program accredited by the American Bar Association or equivalent legal education.
2-4 years of direct experience in a transactional paralegal role.
Experience working in a corporate environment and working with transactional documents.
Experience assisting in worker's compensation administration and oversight.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Excellent legal research skills.
Strong critical-thinking skills.
Impeccable organizational and time-management abilities.
Entrepreneurial personality and ability to work efficiently within a small legal team.
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to act with discretion and tact when handling confidential and sensitive matters.
