Position Summary:
We are KBUE105.5 fm (La Que Buena), KRQB 96.1 fm (La Que Buena), KWIZ 96.7 fm (La Ranchera) looking for Director of Radio Promotions who will work with our three radio stations on promotions events.
Responsibilities:
• Manage a promotions staff
• Oversees hiring personnel
• Schedule live mixes, remotes, and van hits on a weekly basis
• Maintain accurate and detailed calendars of upcoming appearances/events
• Schedule, oversee and manage promotional personnel hours
• Manage station's fleet of promotional vehicles, remote equipment, and promotional supplies, such as sound systems, tents, station inflatable's, etc.
• Gather and maintain up to date accurate driving records for promotions personnel
• Execute ''major'' radio station promotions the likes of Cinco de Mayo, Fiestas Patrias, among others.
• Take, organize and store photos of all station events for client follow up/proof of performance
• Support Sales and Programming Departments with station promotions, client promotions, and major events
• Oversee obtaining prizes for daily contests
• Attend meetings with Sales and Programming Departments on a regular basis or as requested to generate promotional ideas, discuss and work on upcoming promotions, etc.
• On occasions, attend sales calls
• Assist in identifying Promotional Opportunities in the marketplace to help expand/extend station's foot print
• Nights and weekends occasionally required
Requirements:
• At least 2 years experience in event marketing preferred.
• Outgoing with a passion for meeting people; experience dealing with large crowds a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; a plus if you have Adobe or PhotoShop experience.
• Bachelor's degree preferred; HS graduate a must
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Bilingual: English/Spanish required.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be willing to work in Burbank, CA.
• Must be able to make quick decisions
• Must be able to lift equipment up to 50+ pounds
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends and/or Holidays.
• Must have a valid Driver License.
• Must be willing to undergo a pre-employment background investigation
• Must have legal authorization to work in the United States
• Must be 18 years or older
