Job Description
Job Title: Community Coordinator
Department: Digital Media
Reports To: Social Media Manager
Job Summary
The Social Media Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, alignment, management, and execution of all Team social media platforms. Essential to the position is the ability to grow social media base, engagement and ROI while maintaining brand integrity and consistency.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• The social coordinator is responsible for managing and growing the Clippers’ social media presence
through Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, SnapChat and other digital and social platforms.
• Assisting in the production of content and executing the formatting and publishing of content to
Clippers’ social handles
• Creating and growing relationships with social platforms, third party partners and key influencers
• Supporting the content creation and execution of content publishing for LA Clipper dance team, mascot
and other team related presence.
• Creative concepts for new content and engagement campaigns
• Attending and covering Clippers’ events for our team, community initiatives and other events as
determined.
• Use analytics tools of the social platforms and third party toolsets to create reports and continually find
ways to improve those metrics through testing and new ideas.
• Familiarity with paid social media buying and optimization preferred
Characteristics / Qualifications
• Experience with social media tools for business including those offered by the major platforms and third
parties
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Willingness / ability to work when the events, games and other team activities take place, including but
not limited to outside traditional work hours, holidays and weekends.
• Strong time management skills, ability to multitask and passion for sports and social / digital content.
