Core Responsibilities:
• Spearhead the brand's consumer and B2B PR strategy
• Work collaboratively with the music, marketing, licensing, social media and production & live touring departments to generate broadcast, print and online coverage for core initiatives
• Oversee national and local market press for the KIDZ BOP's 2015 North American tour
• Develop and sustain excellent working relationships with both consumer and trade media
• Media train and prepare all talent and executives for any interview opportunities
• Write all press materials, including news releases, media pitches and marketing collateral
• Work closely with social media manager to create engaging and consistent messages across all social media platforms to reach our target audience
• Help identify speaking opportunities for executives at key conferences and trade shows
• Manage all press mailings and release distribution
• Build and maintain a targeted consumer and trade media data base
Qualifications and Skills:
• Ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of consumer and B2B PR experience within the kids & family, consumer products, music and/or branded entertainment space
• Successful candidate is a creative self-starter who can work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Proven track record of securing media stories
• Ability to travel to domestically to events and conferences
• Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
