Intern - Marketing/Social Media

This is a Part Time Unpaid Internship

KM Productions is a rapidly growing entertainment production company specializing in innovative event solutions--from high school and college dances to live TV tapings. We're seeking a highly motivated and creative intern to assist in brand management and develop strategic marketing plans and materials for school events.

Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will help promote KM Production events through social media channels by assisting in the development of a social media strategy and posting content on a regular basis. The candidate will be tasked with brainstorming and sharing innovative concepts to market the company's services to high schools and colleges, along with a range of additional tasks.

Brand Management- Assist the Social Media Manager with day-to-day community management, client engagement and general outreach across social media channels.

Strategic Planning- Participate in team brainstorm sessions to help craft social media campaigns and promotions.

Tasks will generally take place in the office. However, we often bring interns to events to help setup and strike equipment.

Qualifications:
Talented writer with the ability to create fun, creative and engaging content
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word
Photoshop experience is preferred
Passion and experience using social media channels (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Reddit etc.)
Wordpress experience is a plus
Event production (lighting, sound) experience is a plus
Must demonstrate strong ethics and communication skills
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Must be able to effectively manage high stress situations
Ability to follow KM Productions safe work practices and safety protocols

Hours Preferred:
16 hours per week
School credit provided
