DUTIES: Direct the advertising and promotion for Fox 5 San Diego's fastest growing news brand that leads the market in all early morning news, late news, and social media.
Candidates must be able to build, communicate and execute an effective quarterly/annually news marketing strategy while serving the daily production needs of an aggressive sales department, and maintaining a monthly commitment to community service and events.
The candidate should be a dynamic leader who is able to promote both national and local sports, works closely with news & talent, understands station logs and the Wide Orbit traffic system. This unique candidate engages and challenges the creative team daily, develops their skills, and improves the quality and efficiency of their work. The candidate must also be an engaged and assertive member of a dynamic station management team.
The candidate should be a skilled writer with a strong sense of design trends and motion graphics and photography. The candidate should have experience promoting digital platforms and using social media as a marketing tool. Finally, the candidate must have the desire and ability to understand and appreciate the unique climate, culture and lifestyle of the San Diego community.
A minimum 3-5 years experience as a Creative Director. Candidate must possess excellent leadership skills while managing staff under aggressive production time lines. Strong organizational and communication skills, but most importantly amazing writing skills.
