The company was founded by independent film producer Kia Jam to expand his passion for producing superior entertainment. Kia has participated in global entertainment transactions of over $2 billion and has produced/co-produced and/or financed/co-financed over 30 motion pictures and television productions.
K. Jam Media is seeking a fall/spring intern to assist with production and administrative projects.
The intern will be exposed to various aspects of the film and television production and development process. Ideal candidates are passionate about film, television, and entertainment and can integrate that passion into their work.
Candidates are fearless in sharing their ideas, thoughts, insights and knowledge, understand the appropriate times to contribute, and come with a an upbeat, engaged attitude everyday. Candidates also are able to move forward despite challenges and setbacks.
Job Responsibilities:
• Assisting in upcoming slated Feature Film and TV productions
• Writing script coverage and researching for various projects and upcoming productions in consideration
• Performing delegated tasks aptly
• Thinking ahead and understanding what tasks need to be completed without supervision or explicit instruction.
• Answering and directing calls confidently and effectively
Job Requirements:
• An academic or career focus on film production preferred.
• Administrative experience
• Quick problem solving skills and the ability to think outside the box to find solutions
• Attention to detail, multi-tasking capabilities and strong interpersonal skills
• Experience with PowerPoint, Photoshop, or other film/editing applications (Final Draft, Final Cut Pro, Movie Magic, etc.) preferred
• Calm, confident, and professional phone etiquette
• Language proficiency in Mandarin a plus
