Overview: The Associate Producer must be a strong storyteller who brings energy and is ready to take on a challenging new opportunity! Candidate must bring bold, creative ideas to newscast. Must have excellent writing, spelling and grammar. Must have good news judgement including knowledge of pop culture and current events. Must be organized and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities:
• Write and provide news content for air and digital
• Build graphics
• Booth newscasts in Control Room
• Collaborate with Producers and Executive Producers
• Learn to fill-in produce
• Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Journalism or related field (preferred)
• At least one year of experience in a newsroom (preferred)
• Prepared to work any shift in our 24/7 newsroom
• Must be able to work well under deadline pressure
