Details: Oversee content and production of KWGN’s “Daybreak” program, which consists of four one-hour newscasts from 5a-9a weekdays.
Supervise producers, writers, and other editorial and production staff.
Work in collaboration with Executive Producer to provide story/segment ideas, feedback to staff, and planning for future coverage, events, and morning franchise development.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: copy editing, graphics, teases, coordination of live shots between KWGN and sister station KDVR, reporter assignments and creative execution of live shots and guest segments.
Work closely with Executive Producer, Assistant News Director and VP of News to set overall tone, feel and pacing of “Daybreak” with the goal of making it more distinctive from “Good Day Colorado” on sister station KDVR and other traditional morning newscasts in the Denver market.
Familiarity with social media and other digital content distribution and production tools.
At least five years newscast producing experience required, including morning programs.
