We are a leading digital entertainment company hiring only the most ambitious candidates for our fast growing company in Los Angeles, CA. We are seeking a Graphic Designer/Production Artist to work side by side with our creative team on multiple projects. The ideal candidate will have a passion for marketing, killer design skills, a strong work ethic, an ability to balance a large number of tasks in a fast paced environment, can take constructive criticism, and has a strong attention to detail. The Designer provides support for the company's marketing team, including creating designs (motion & still) for all projects, updating existing designs based on supervisor feedback, as well as identifying stock photos and fonts to use within creative compositions. You're highly motivated with a strong internal drive to produce award-winning work while immersing yourself in the latest interactive design trends.

Primary Responsibilities:
DESIGN
• Primarily responsible for asset creation and production.
• Assists project's creative lead in necessary research and preparation of company presentations.
• Creates a range of visually appealing and motivating designs/layouts for all projects.
• Designs comps, concept sketches, social media assets & presentation decks under direction of the project's creative lead.
• Incorporates revisions per feedback as appropriate. Ensures approved layouts conform to style guides.
• Performs photo retouching and enhancements as necessary.
• Researches and reviews suitable illustrations, photography or stock photos & fonts.
• Contributes to and maintains style guides/online design libraries to accompany final deliverables.
• Expands personal knowledge of design and current state-of-the-art techniques.
• Has good understanding of many digital best practices.
CONCEPTING
• Has a competent knowledge of company's business objectives, brand, consumer and competitive landscape to inform insightful design ideas.
• Understands the creative direction set forth for each project and develops work that supports that direction.
COLLABORATION
• Works enthusiastically, respectfully and collaboratively with other team members, has a clear understanding of how a team operates, their responsibilities throughout a project and what is expected in critiques and meetings.
• Considers technology requirements and designs a solution that complements the technical strategy and/or partners with the technology staff to overcome implementation obstacles.
PROJECT EXECUTION
• Ensures that internal deadlines, timetables and approval procedures are adhered to for assigned project phases.
• Manages and prioritizes work effectively, and proactively escalates conflicts with workloads.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Strong digital design portfolio. This means quality, not quantity.
• Strong command of standard design and layout applications (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite & Microsoft Powerpoint). Competency with, as well as experience or exposure to motion graphics e.g. After Effects.
• Strong visual style and thorough understanding of how typography, layout, color, images and interactivity impact design is necessary.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize feedback/direction from creative lead to generate multiple design explorations and iterate designs to the satisfaction of lead.
• Has managed multiple assignments at the same time (including organizing and prioritizing workload, and working efficiently under pressure in a deadline-
driven environment).
• Solid understanding of the digital landscape, including websites, online campaigns, social media and mobile.
• Creative problem solving skills that enable you to evaluate a creative approach, brainstorm, and seek unexpected, original and innovative ideas.
• Careful attention to detail and sensitivity to version control issues.
• Solid knowledge of the production process (e.g. optimizing graphics, compression settings and file size and image optimization).
• Strong verbal communication skills. Able to articulate your creative process, thoughts, ideas and a point of view about your work.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, a positive attitude, a sense of humor and the ability to thrive in a collaborative work environment with multi-disciplinary teams
