The Publishing Operations Intern is responsible for supporting the Publishing Operations Coordinator and Manager in optimizing and publishing digital content across all brands and platforms. The Publishing Operations Intern must be extremely organized, be able to manage multiple tasks at once, and be willing to take initiative in order to help create more efficiency in all aspects of publishing.
Team: Publishing and Programming
Reports to: Publishing Operations Manager
Relationships: Publishing Operations Coordinator, Audience Development Managers, Lead Editor, Designers, and Analytics
Key Responsibilities
- Manage publishing calendars for applicable brands and platforms, including scheduling content, ensuring on-time publication, and real-time publications
- Upload huge volume of content (up to 1000 videos per month) to platforms including, but not limited to: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Vessel and Vine, and input metadata into appropriate fields
- Manage video entries and associated syndication platform schedules
- Research and utilize YouTube Analytics, Facebook Insights, and all other applicable analytical tools to offer suggestions for programming
- Assist in major projects by collecting data and assets where necessary
- Support Publishing Operations Manager and Coordinator
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience scheduling and publishing on YouTube, Facebook, Vine, Instagram, and other social media platforms
- Must be EXTREMELY organized
- Impeccable writing and editing skills
- Must be able to take initiative and work independently, as well as work with a team
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Suite, especially Excel
