On-Set Sound Mixer (over-the-shoulder, mix to hard-drive preferred) needed for short format film shooting over several weekends beginning February 27/28, 2010. The project is a high-concept and stylized period piece shot ON FILM (16mm) with grants from several equipment and stock vendors.
The director's previous work has been shown at major film festivals and galleries in London, Reykjavik, New York, Toronto, Seattle, São Paulo, and Bucharest. His most recent work showed at Sundance. The DP's work has been broadcast on HBO, MTV, and BBC. It has been screened in theaters nationally in addition to the Tribeca, Palm Springs, and Cannes film festivals. A recent project was shortlisted for an Oscar.
The remaining volunteer crew is excellent. |

Salary:

Position is UNPAID (copy/credit/meals), with a possible small weekend kit fee. Perfect opportunity for a sound recording/mixing student or recent grad. Potential to also do the post-sound mix and for growth within the company on future productions.
