ARTS MANAGEMENT INTERNSHIP -- Do you have a professional interest in arts marketing, audience development or media relations for the arts? Jonathan Slaff & Associates is a leading arts publicist serving cultural institutions, professional theater and dance companies and civic events in New York City. Interns will work with up to twelve professional theater groups at a high management level. Our artists have received 19 Obies, three Bessies, Lucille Lortel, Theater World, and Outer Critics Circle Awards. This is non-salaried but a great learning experience. Student in for-credit programs preferred. Interested parties please send writing sample and resume.
In both cases, our work is heavily arts-related, so any candidate should have some kind of professional experience or ambition toward the arts, particularly performing arts.
I cannot say which educational level is best suited to our training. The prerequisite is passion for the arts. We do not have any particular academic preparation requirement, but good written and spoken English is important, since most of our work is language-based.
All training is at: 55 Perry Street, Ste. #1M, New York, NY 10014.
