Jive LA is growing and we're looking for a PR + Social Media Coordinator to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with at least 1 year of relevant work experience in social media and publicity. You should love building communities online and enjoy writing.
This role will have you working closely with Jive executives and other account team members on specific day-to-day deliverables to implement PR campaigns across all forms of communication. This role will be working on a variety of accounts, including consumer brands and entertainment clients (film festivals and theatrical releases).
Social Media:
• Develop social media editorial calendars, write content and post daily (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, blog, etc.)
• Create innovative content, contest strategies and make recommendations for social media ad buys where appropriate
• Curate relevant paid and organic influencer lists for specific campaigns
• Create, curate, and manage all published content and communication materials being pushed out online (images, video and written)
• Create and manage branded assets for clients
• Oversee design elements (i.e. Facebook Timeline cover, profile pic, thumbnails, ads, landing pages, Twitter profile, and blog)
• Use photography skills to curate interesting brand voices and photoshop to create captivating imagery that will drive engagement
• Understand analytics and report KPI's
PR:
• Monitoring media coverage
• Drafting pitches and other written press materials
• Promoting news stories and features to the media
• Supporting senior team members
• Creating and updating media lists
• Coordinating events as required, and on-site support
Desired Skills & Experience:
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
• Knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and YouTube, and their respective audiences
• Understanding of how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
• Strong copywriting and time management skills
