Jamie Kennedy Entertainment is seeking a few young, ambitious individuals who want to contribute to a company dedicated to the continuous development of sharp and unique material. Alongside Jamie Kennedy, one of the most unique and multitalented actor/comedians in the industry, the JKE team works tirelessly to create strong and unique content for television, film, and the web.
Creative development interns will contribute to the development of the JKE slate, which includes features and scripted and unscripted television, ranging from comedy to drama. It is an energetic and team-focused environment where all opinions are valued--interns will be trusted to offer insight into scripts, outlines, and pitches, and if equipped with the right skill-set, may be able to contribute to editing and other post-production duties. Majority of duties revolve around script coverage, with other creative duties (assembling cast/director lists, pitch decks, outlines, etc.) with some administrative/office duties as well. A driver's license and reliable automobile are strongly desired.
Other skills desired include:
-- Positive attitude and willing to help out and contribute in team-oriented atmosphere
-- Desire and ability to work in creative environment
-- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
-- Background in film or television (namely, the ability to provide strong insight into scripts and other development materials)
-- Strong writing skills (aspiring screenwriters are welcome, but not necessary)
-- Ability to think on your feet and thrive in a busy office setting
-- Own car (interns will have to make occasional runs outside of office)
-- Strong computer/tech skills a plus (even web programming/coding)
-- Experience in Final Cut strongly desired (preference may be given to those proficient in the program)
-- Experience in Final Draft (or other script-writing software)
-- Proficiency in PhotoShop
-- Working knowledge of entertainment industry (the major players, business flow, etc.)
College credit is available for those enrolled in school. We ask for a 2-3 day per week commitment, but there is some flexibility as to the exact scheduling. |
