We are looking for an experienced development associate who is highly skilled in storytelling and proposal writing. Applicants must have a keen interest in non-fiction/documentary space (not reality television).
Development Associate Duties:
- Assist Creative Director and Producers with research, drafting and compiling film proposals.
- Set up meetings and calls with distributors, networks, studios on Creative Director's behalf.
- Collaborate with Creative Director and Producers to set-up development calendar, also specifically, keeping track of Creative Director's calendar and appointments.
- Research material related to creative content, grants, funds, and current film/television market.
- Compose memos and correspondence on Creative Director's behalf.
Office Administrative Duties:
- Report daily agenda/company goals of each creative team to Creative Director.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communication (main phone line/fax/e-mail) professionally.
- Handle purchasing of office supplies, catering, etc.. Run creative director errands as needed.
- Perform and coordinate broad range of office's administrative activities--storing, organizing, and filing information/paperwork.
- Maintain and update company mailing/contact list.
- Coordinate courier requests.
- Manage light janitorial duties to maintain cleanliness in office.
Qualifications:
3-5 years of industry experience.
Excellent people skills.
Positive attitude.
Ability to work in fast paced, multi-project, creative and fun environment.
Strong sense of storytelling.
Proficiency with Google and Microsoft Suite.
Experienced with Mac and PC computers.
Agency experience a plus.
