Part-Time Unpaid Internship
Looking for an energetic, creative, proactive and detail-oriented person to join our team for 4 months (possibly longer) to join our team.
Internship Requirements
Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or Media-related major
Excellent verbal and written skills
Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Must have a great work ethic and be resourceful
Ability to handle working under tight deadlines with excellent accuracy
Dedication to the position and pride in you work is necessary
Up-to-date on Social Media trends and bloggers is a must
Experience with Photoshop and Microsoft Office and Mac proficient is a plus
This is an unpaid internship, but one that can, if given the school's approval, possibly transfer for credit. You must have a laptop. Commitment of 2-3 days per week is required 3 month. Strong computer skills are required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Answering and screening phone calls
Answering and screening emails
Social Media / Website upkeep
Researching new key contacts for all clients
Creating and distributing press kits
Email pitching of all news from clients via phone and email
Assistance with Tour Scheduling
Brainstorming new pitch ideas for venues
A&R research
Administrative PR tasks
Tracking and scanning all media clips
Assist in writing press releases and media alerts
Assistance with updating Calendar and monthly itinerary
Beginning to build long-term relationships with all media
