Promote Salisbury is a FB page with the overall goal of promoting local businesses and residents' events, profit and not-for-profit. Promote Salisbury was created by a group of Salisbury small business owners to fill a very apparent void, and assist Salisbury's businesses and residents get up to speed with their social media presence
SCTVMC - Salisbury Community TV Media Center needs your help! Right now, there is no good online forum about Salisbury. SCTV's Web site, our Video on Demand service over the Internet, and our cablecasts on Comcast Channels 12 and 18 may be great, but they all have one big limitation. They are mostly one-way communications media. We want to use Facebook as a platform for much more dialogue, a way to host real discussions on all things of interest to the people of Salisbury. This may relate to SCTV's programs and services Or, they may be conversations about Town government and politics, the Triton school system, the future of the Beach, or area cultural events. We want our Facebook page to be the online meeting place where you can ask questions, get answers, and exchange ideas with us and your neighbors -- and maybe even with Town officials.
You probably have more experience with Facebook than we do, so you can help us learn how SCTV's Facebook page can be useful and grow. So be patient and positive. We are the community's non-profit communications organization -- your organization. Help us adapt and evolve into something useful and productive good-spirited, entertaining, informative, and self-organizing.
