Senior Software Engineer

Irdeto has an opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer in our North Hollywood location.
•Work with product development and product management teams to create, enhance and deploy Irdeto's Watermarking technology
•Develop and implement software products and libraries following software specifications, architecture, and roadmap
•Software design, implementation and both unit and system testing
•Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members
•Provision hardware and software for new and existing customer implementations, system expansion and upgrades
•Work closely with clients and third party vendors to develop customized products and services
•Perform technical integration activities and deploy Irdeto solutions and services to new and existing customers in the area of Watermarking
•Perform end-to-end test and certification activities to verify the integration for customer sign off
Required Skills and Experience:
•Bachelor or master degree of Computer Science, or related technical degree or equivalent experience
•5+ years software development experience
•Strong understanding of media codec details such as H264, HEVC, AAC, AC3, DTS, etc.
•Be familiar with media containers such as TS, MP4, CFF, etc.
•Strong understanding of streaming protocols such as HLS, DASH, SmoothStreaming, RTSP, etc.
•Strength in C/C++, Java/Objective-C as well as object oriented design, design patterns, and scripting required
•Experience in preparing, delivering, and deploying containerized applications and services
•Solid algorithm and data structure knowledge
•Strong understanding of Linux
•Familiarity with typical media framework such as Stagefright(Android) / GStreamer / Directshow / Media Foundation / ffmpeg , etc.
•Experience with media protection on Android/iOS preferred
•Working knowledge of UML
•Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
•Strong self-motivated, highly accountable work ethic required
•Experience in an Agile development environment, including Scrum, XP, etc.
•Ability to function effectively in a team environment
•Ability to work in a fast changing, highly dynamic, environment with a geographically separated team
•Willingness to put in extra effort when required and ability to cope with demanding situations, tight dead-lines, and peaks in work load
•Local and International travel may be required
