Position Title: Marketing Communications Director, iEC Exhibitions

Position status: Full Time - 12 month contract
Role Objective:
This position is responsible for providing strategic marketing and communications direction for iEC's American based exhibition projects commencing immediately with Exhibitionism - The Rolling Stones exhibit opening in New York, November 2016. This includes strategic planning, budget forecasting and reporting, management of third party relationships (sponsors, Ad agency, PR, tourism departments, ticketing operators, and other consultants) and the day-to-day management of all sales and marketing aspects of the exhibition projects in America.
This role will require a senior marketing manager, who is well accustomed to creating and working to targeted marketing and ticket sales strategies with a keen eye for ROI and details. The ability to recognize and pursue commercial opportunities is essential.

iEC is a boutique international exhibitions, entertainment and special events company, specializing in the concept creation, design, production and touring of unique international travelling exhibitions with broad cultural appeal. iEC Exhibitions are the originators and producers of Exhibitionism - The Rolling Stones exhibit currently open at London's Saatchi Gallery.

Key Working Relationships:
Internally: Australian Head Office - Reporting to Founding Director and Managing Partner, Thea Jeanes-Cochrane
London office - reporting to COO London
Externally: Exhibition sponsors, iEC's project appointed advertising and PR agencies, project suppliers, ticketing agents, tourism and travel organizations, graphic design firm(s), venues, video producers, Government tourism agencies.
Key Selection Criteria
• Proven experience at a senior level in delivering dynamic and successful marketing and communications strategies and campaigns designed to sell tickets for entertainment / attractions, theatre and/or exhibitions;
• A strong record of achievement in delivering these campaigns against a box office ROI;
• Marketing experience is essential in the attractions, exhibitions and/or live entertainment industry;
• Skilled relationship builder with extensive experience managing partnerships including global corporate sponsors, to ensure a collaborative organisational marketing and communications approach;
• Proven ability to strategize and manage digital and social media campaigns;
• Experience in interpreting digital / web analytics;
• A creative thinker capable of generating new marketing and promotional ideas;
• A self starter, team player and a willingness to 'get your hands dirty';
• Experience in analyzing and interpreting consumer behavior and sales trends as it relates to the consumption of entertainment;
• Relevant industry marketing experience in global markets is beneficial (Europe, Asia, USA, UK);
• Excellent communication, multi-tasking and strong attention to detail essential;
• A highly developed oral and written communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills with the capacity to interact effectively with a wide range of corporate executives, government officials, arts/creative professionals, senior management, staff and contractors;
• Completion of a college degree or higher qualification in a relevant industry with relevant work experience OR an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in a commercial environment;
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, discretion and diplomacy; and
• Self sufficient and proven skills in using MAC systems, Microsoft Office, excel spreadsheets and presentation software packages for the purpose of reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Developing, monitoring and evaluating project marketing communications strategies for iEC's exhibition projects principally in America, including: advertising, promotions, and public relations to support the marketing and ticket sales objectives in those markets;
• Accountability for large marketing and communications budgets and ROI strategies, daily monitoring of marketing campaigns against ticketing and budget forecasts; and
• Regular reporting directly to the Founding Director (Australia) and London COO.
Role Challenges
• Dealing with multiple time zones due to global touring projects and remote teams, necessitating domestic and international travel;
• Concise communication flow and reporting in a time critical environment;
• Dealing with high-level International clients and media sensitive matters;
• Dealing with urgent and sometimes changeable deadlines due to the nature of the entertainment industry;
• Coordinating analytics and research to deliver recommendations and decision-making outcomes; and
• Constant monitoring of ROI in multiple markets globally.
