We need a research savvy intern in the Development department. The right candidate will be a google research pro who knows how to pick out the hook to a story.
Indigo Films has been established in the Bay Area nearly 20 years. We produce high-caliber and award-winning documentaries and reality television for networks such as The History Channel, National Geographic, Discovery, and Travel Channel.
Job Description
• Research ideas for new shows.
• Writing and Compiling research and information for pitch documents/proposals.
• Proofreading documents for errors.
• Day to day office tasks.
• Staying on top of updates in regards to proposals/show progress.
• Reaching out to potential talent for new series.
• Creating proposals and documents necessary for pitch trips.
• Working closely with the Development team to brainstorm ideas for new series.
Intern Qualifications:
• Enrolled as a full-time student in university.
• You have to be the kind of person who likes compiling random information and jumping through all the different, weird, interesting rabbit holes when you're on the internet, reading, or having a conversation with someone new.
• You have to love watching television and be aware of the kind of content that is out there.
• You should be good at doing research - especially research on the internet - and you should be able to find information on anything from restaurants in train stations, to the world's fastest dog, to weird weather phenomena. In this job, you can be asked to research (and learn about) just about any topic that could and should be covered on TV.
This is an unpaid internship in which you earn school credit and a wealth of knowledge and participation in piecing together our productions.
