The Publicity Coordinator Position is part time, and will begin in January and end in April.
Responsibilities:
• Attendance at all IFFLA Staff meetings, conference calls, and other department meetings as needed.
• On-site presence during the week of the festival.
• Collaborate and contribute input for the weekly status report, which the department coordinator will submit to the Artistic Director.
• Work under direct supervision of Publicist to:
o Maintain/update media databases (e.g. press accreditation requests, credentialed press, press release outreach)
o Communicate with press and publicists regarding screeners, attendance at IFFLA events, press coverage/accreditation, updating contact information.
o Track and compile press coverage.
o Assist with press check-ins at the press desk.
o Assist with preparing and running the red carpet.
o Assist with press junkets.
• Be available to work at off-site events as needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in publicity.
- Team player, highly organized with demonstrated attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Indian cinema a plus.
