LINE PRODUCER - FULL TIME/FREELANCE (LOS ANGELES)
Our company develops innovative brand platforms for marketing and communications. We work as artists, designers and curators in partnership with non-profits, businesses and communities.
We are seeking a freelance Line Producer with 5+ years experience. The Line Producer will oversee all aspects of production from planning through post production and final delivery for a historical fashion and culture documentary. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Producer with proven versatile creative and production capabilities.
The Producer will collaborate closely with a team of creatives to execute and oversee the production of multiple video assets including a short documentary film and several supporting derivative cuts. Responsibilities will include budget and timeline management, identifying production needs, securing permitting, and managing production and post-production teams. Candidate should be confident orchestrating complex logistics, interfacing with clients, and have a solid knowledge of digital video production processes, workflow, and platforms. Availability to travel in the US for shoots is necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate closely with Film Director, Creative Director and Project Manager to develop the production and post production plans, budgets and schedules
Oversee all pre-production activities including hiring crew, setting up production workflows, archival research, location scouting, sourcing rentals and suppliers, casting and engaging talent.
Negotiate rates and terms with vendors and suppliers
Prepare all paperwork and agreements related to production including vendor contracts, deal memos, talent agreements, permits and releases
Ensure compliance with regulations and codes for various filming locations
Develop and implement production plan for each location including interviews, shot list and call sheets and schedules
Travel to shoot locations and manage onsite production
Work with creative team to supervise post-production and ensure all deliverables are met in scope and on time
Collaborate on all aspects of post-production including reviewing footage, supervising editorial, securing legal permissions, and making certain all assets and supplementary materials are ready for delivery and distribution
Ensure that the production is completed with the highest standards on time and in budget
Track vendor payments, prepare wrap reports and actualize budgets
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of professional video production experience
Proven success as a manager and team-builder among crew, vendors and clients
An in-depth understanding of the physical and technical processes of filmmaking
Established vendor relationships and contacts
Meticulous organization and attention to detail
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Cultural and social fluency and experience working with fashion brands is a plus
We want you to love what you're doing, so a passion for film, fashion, design, and music is required.
Salary is commensurate with experience.
Position available immediately.
