Job Description:
Imagine This Production Women's International Film Festival - New York, NY is currently seeking a volunteer for a Public Relations Intern to join our team to. assist Film Festival for Public Relations. The Public Relations Intern is responsible for developing the PR strategy that will help build awareness and help tell our festival's story-driving business results, improving brand relevance, and strengthening our brand-to a range of audiences. The Public relations intern will collaborate closely with co-founders bringing her/his expertise to cohesive, multi-channel programs that span brand strategy, advertising, and events. This role will require 5 to 15 hours per month.
Responsibilities:
*Contribute to brainstorming, developing, planning, and implementing marketing initiatives to generate brand awareness and consumer engagement
*Draft writing content such as press releases, media alerts, blog posts and newsletters
*Assist with content creation and engagement monitoring on our social media channels
*Assist with all aspects of media outreach: maintain media lists, prepare & ship press releases / samples, research new PR sources
*Research influencers, potential brand partners, and competitor analysis
Qualifications:
*A keen interest in social media and PR strategy
*Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects
*Self starter, organizational and time management ability
*Ability to multi-task and work both independently and part of a team
*Possesses excellent verbal and writing skills
*Is good at networking and relationship building
*Excellent people and customer service skills
*Creative, diplomatic and cool under pressure
*Has a general understanding of Marketing and Public Relations
*Is proficient with basic online tools - MS Office, Open Office
*Responsive to requests in a timely fashion
*Experience with business and strategy development preferred
This role will require 5 to 15 hours per month.
