JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and Compliance
•Monitor, control and report to TOC the operability of station's master control and transmitter operations
•Monitor and report station outages
•Maintain station Public File in accordance with FCC requirements. Track and confirm FCC online station files.
•Generate quarterly legal reports including Public Affairs and Ascertainments
•Liaison for all cable, DBS, and Telco operators within market.
•Maintain transfer of control procedures with Quality Assurance
•Ability to conduct EAS weekly tests
•Ability to log and maintain EAS test files
•Knowledge to read and understand station signal levels
•Act as alternate Chief Operator for proofing and attesting to logs
•Knowledge and ability to re-establish connectivity with transmitter
•Ability to control and originate programming from master control
•Must be able to cover master control during designated times as well as special programming events.
Traffic
•Responsible for generating, editing and verifying accuracy of daily program logs ensuring all paid programs and commercials run in compliance with agency instructions.
•Responsible for all local advertising traffic, creating logs and playlists
•Work closely with Corporate Traffic for library and network needs
•Reconciliation of daily logs. Format all necessary program and schedule changes.
•Maintain current and previous years' files of daily program logs, sales contracts and end of month discrepancy reports
•Enter and manage copy for all National and Local orders.
•Responsible to notify and work closely with Sales to ensure accurate processing of all orders, copy, make-goods, and discrepancies.
Business
•Complete client reference checks for sales
•Review and process all station A/P invoices into Accounting system
•A/R collections. Maintain station Local A/R aging, including clearing up discrepancies.
•Administer corporate credit policies and procedures
•Maintain petty cash fund. Maintain Corporate Credit Card station spending and reconciliation.
•Preparation of station budget, monthly budget variance explanations, and other accounting analysis reports as requested by Corporate or ROM.
•Maintain station personnel files, ensure appropriate personnel paperwork is completed and submitted to corporate, in accordance with company policy and EEO guidelines. Handle miscellaneous personnel matters as requested by corporate or station ROM.
•Responsible for reviewing and approving employee e-Time timesheets.
•Order office supplies as needed, within budget parameters
•Produce various reports and projects for ROM and Corporate.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
•Minimum five years in broadcast station operations with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
•Bachelor Degree required in Business/Communication field or equivalent experience
•Knowledge of FCC broadcasting
•Excellent computer skills a must - including expertise in - MS software
•Excellent communications skills - verbal and written
•Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
•Specific understanding of program production, including equipment required
•Minimum Travel required
