SUMMARY:
The Ingest/List Technician & Live Events Coordinator is primarily responsible for the execution of on-air broadcast of live events. Regular day to day duties will be to ingest files and tapes into Editing and On-Air Servers and build and edit traffic logs and play lists for the On Air Services-Distribution department.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•List Ingest Duties
oIngest and technically QC received files/tapes into Editing server
oIngest and technically QC completed files/tapes into on-air server
oMaintain server space in Editing and On-Air server by archiving completed elements.
oBuild and edit traffic logs and play lists
oInsert Chyron bugs/lower third graphics and break triggers onto play list.
•Live Event Duties
oWork with Director of On-Air Services - Distribution on coordination of live events
oExecute on-air broadcast of live events
oEnsure that formats are followed during live events; Gather information to be sent to the on-site AD.
oEnsures elements (Breaks, promo inserts, Chyron graphics) are executed properly on-air
oMakes all necessary changes to logs before, during and following a live event.
oMakes adjustments to logs and play lists for all event replays
oCreates contingencies and fill airtime with contingencies during delays or technical difficulties.
oCompletes an ''Issues Summary Report'' following each event.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
•Minimum 3 years experience in a broadcast network environment.
•Firm grasp of on-air broadcast workflows and systems including master control and media operations.
•Understanding of traffic logs and procedures.
•Ability to independently make log changes based on network requirements and needs.
•Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, but not required.
•Flexibility to work when required (weekends, holidays + after hours when needed)
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS PREFERED:
•Formal Education & Certification
oCollege diploma or university degree in an associated field or equivalent work experience.
