Account Executive, National Long Form Sales:
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Establish relationships with and sell national half-hour paid program time to advertising agencies and direct accounts
•Develop new business, both at agency and direct levels
•Increase shares of business through creative selling and packaging
•Prepare written proposals.
•Gather and maintain a thorough knowledge of market, client and competitive information and provide feedback on current and future trends to management
•Represent ION Television at trade exhibitions, events and other industry functions.
•Update weekly client and call information and report activity to sales Management.
•Review sales performance with management, aiming to meet and exceed targets.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
•Proven positive sales track record with 3-5 years experience preferably in television, cable or direct response media sales.
•Excellent oral and written communication skills.
•Computer knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
•The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
•Must have reliable transportation
•Must have a positive, confident and determined approach.
•Must have a high degree of self-motivation and drive and the ability and desire to sell.
•The capacity to flourish in a competitive environment.
