Collections Manager - Junior Level

IM Global, a leading film finance, international sales and distribution company is currently seeking an individual to work as a Collections Manager in our Los Angeles office. This is a Junior level position. The candidate will liaise with the Sales and the Business & Legal Affairs department to ensure collections are accurate and timely.

The overall responsibility of the position is to issue invoices, ensure collections of revenue due, post daily payments received, reconcile payments/accounts, data entry, generate and maintain aging reports. Candidate will also be reviewing and verifying distribution agreements to ensure correct and detailed billing terms are being entered in the system per the terms of the agreements. Candidate will interact via phone and email with international film distribution companies in over 35 countries. This is a hands-on, highly detailed oriented position. Candidate must be strong with numbers and should be available to start immediately.

QUALFICATION AND KNOWLEDGE:
The qualified candidate should have a minimum 1+ years experience in billing/finance or other professional billing services; 3+ years preferred
Experience in the entertainment industry a plus
Knowledge of film finance, foreign sales and film distribution a plus
Strong with numbers and strong analytical skills
Excellent computer skills; including strong knowledge of excel and outlook
Highly detail oriented and organized
Ability to meet assigned deadlines
Ability to succeed in a fast paced, highly demanding , high volume, dynamic environment
Proactive and thorough approach to tasks
Familiarity with Filmtrack a strong plus
A strong knowledge of interpreting distribution agreements and/or legal agreements a plus
Experience overseeing projects or coordinating the efforts of a team a plus
