The IMDb Originals & Events team is focused on creating unique and compelling content experiences for its users and advertisers and is seeking an Event Coordinator to further expand IMDb's successful events program. This position will report to the Events Program Manager and will be responsible for the successful management and execution of specific IMDb events including but not limited to Sundance, the Golden Globes, the Academy Awards, San Diego Comic-Con, the Emmys, and more.
The Events Coordinator ensures that programs and marketing strategies are properly developed and executed to successfully promote the IMDb brand and fulfill all sponsor initiatives. This role will work closely with various internal teams including video production, editorial, sales marketing, design, and consumer marketing. Additionally, the Events Coordinator will manage the logistical execution of events in partnership with our agencies and other outside vendors.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the planning, development, execution and wrap-up stages of specific events, in the office and on-site
• Use exceptional project management and collaboration skills to manage the day-to-day activities and ensure all stakeholders are working together to deliver a customer focused high-quality event
• Develop project timelines and other key documents, and circulate with all stakeholders
• Evaluate, measure, and report on strategic effectiveness of the overall event
• Reconcile all event expenses in partnership with program manager
• Support the tactical execution of Originals & Events programs and contribute to creative ideation and longer term strategic planning
• Serve as team's primary point of contact with sales to help facilitate pre-sales proposal ideation and create innovative, unique, on-brand event experiences
• Serve as team's primary point of contact with internal attendees before and during the events
• Build standardized, repeatable event ''in a box'' packages for sales to bring to market across various advertising verticals
• Communicate with clients directly post-sale to effectively execute their on-site event deliverables
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications:
• 4-6 years of relevant experience in event management, digital media and entertainment
• Experience in a client service role and on-site event management experience a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or relevant field of study
• Mastery of Excel, PowerPoint, and the ability to ramp quickly to multiple internal tools
• Superior written and oral business communications skills, with the ability to comfortably and professionally interact with colleagues at all levels
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven success in planning and executing large scale events
• Experience in a client facing role, managing sponsors of high-value advertising campaigns
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to work on multiple deadlines in a fluid environment with competing priorities
• Solid attention to detail, customer-service orientation and creativity in problem-solving
• Calm under pressure and positive attitude
