Contracts and Systems Administrator
• IM Global is seeking a Contract and Systems Administrator to support the legal, sales, and finance groups to enter, update and maintain its rights database in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. The position is responsible for administering contracts and acquired rights for a library of over 300 titles and properly reporting all available inventory for television, film, and other media projects in the library.
Requirements:
• Solid understanding of agency, acquisition, and distribution agreements to identify, bifurcate, and organize distribution rights and applicable holdbacks ensuring the absence of conflicts in sales and availability
• Ability to organize and track rights, options, expirations, and associated payments to identify and communicate key dates, obligations and/or material issues
• Ability to identify opportunities to enhance system functionality for increased efficiency and in anticipation of future company needs
• Experience negotiating issues, enhancements, and updates (including timeline for fixes and implementation) with systems vendor
• Experience in FilmTrack (and preferably other relational databases) and exceptional Excel skills
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, highly organized, excellent problem solver
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Accurately enter and maintain rights per aforementioned criteria
• Ensure system is operating properly at all times
• Circulate executed agreements, exhibits and amendments to collaborating departments
• Work closely with the accounting and collections teams to facilitate accuracy and efficiency of invoicing and revenue recognition
• Communicate issues and resolutions in a timely fashion
• Address in professional and timely manner, ad hoc requests from other departments related to acquired rights, historical sales, and reports relating thereto
Ideal candidate will:
• Have 3-5 years' experience with business / law degree or 7+ years without
• Have experience with a film Sales Agency or similar rights
• Be familiar with international distribution
Compensation package includes salary (DOE), discretionary bonus, vacation and sick days, company holidays, health, dental & vision insurance, and other perks.
