IM GLOBAL is looking for an experienced contracts administrator with paralegal capabilities for a growing independent film and television company located in West Hollywood.
Responsibilities
1. Drafting basic agreements, amendments and other legal documentation related to TV/Film industry.
2. Revising, updating, and maintaining contract templates.
3. Proofreading and editing documents.
4. Updating and maintaining the legal filing system and departmental reports and databases.
5. Drafting and finalizing collection account management agreements.
6. Facilitating delivery of production docs to distributors.
7. Managing corporate entity fillings, government documents, and related state and federal requirements.
8. Special projects, as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
•Must hold a B.S./B.A. degree from accredited University
•Must have at least three (3) years of contracts administration/paralegal experience, preferably in the entertainment field at a reputable company. Previous in-house experience is preferred.
•The ability to understand, track, and meet all relevant deadlines and follow up, as appropriate.
•Familiarity with technology customarily used in the entertainment industry with preference given to experience with Filmtrack/Rentrack and/or Comscore
•The ability to multitask in a challenging, fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
•Strong analytical skills, including the ability to identify and analyze issues and devise solutions and strategies.
•Strong understanding of contracts with the ability to draft contract language and integrate business issues into contracts.
•Must be detail-oriented, with accurate and thorough grammatical, writing, and proofreading skills. •Strong organizational and time-management skills.
•The ability to take direction and offer relevant solutions, as needed.
•Excellent verbal and listening skills.
•An ability to independently manage one's workload but to ask for assistance when needed.
•Must be able to hold him/herself and others accountable for results.
•A positive can-do attitude, especially when faced with challenging assignments.
•Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and other office-related software.
