Owned by Lionsgate and FilmGate Entertainment, International Distribution Company (IDC), has an immediate opening for Director, Finance and Operations to join their team.
Responsibilities include:
• Provide general supervision and management of the day-to-day financial and accounting process
• Develop and test benchmarks and protocols to improve financial integrity and operational efficiency
• Manage relationship with Lionsgate finance and accounting teams to ensure proper book and record keeping, financials, taxes, ultimates etc.
• Manage bookkeeping, etc ., with our 3rd party accounting firm to ensure proper accounting and financial statement maintenance and preparation for 3 independent ventures
• Cash Flow preparation and maintenance
• Perform financial statement analysis and present to Board of Directors/Investors and management
• Update P&A (Prints and Advertising release Budget_ vs Actual comparison worksheet in order to track title spend
• Oversee quarterly Fee Claim and Participation Reporting processes
• Help the Marketing & Servicing departments with distribution concepts and analysis
• Perform ad hoc projects as assigned and audits as necessary
Eligibility Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree with proven track record in accounting/finance role-at least 5 years
• Strong working knowledge in accounting operations including GL, AP, and AR
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
• Detail oriented and process driven
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
• Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deals with deadline pressure
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit and ability to follow through with minimal supervision
Additional requirements:
• Self-driven, motivated and very organized
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management
• Involves high-level contacts and exposure to sensitive information necessitating considerable use of tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment
• Strong leadership skills, will manage Finance Analyst
• Ability to collaborate with team
• Fluency in Spanish (desired, but not mandatory)
