Qualifications
- Bachelor degree required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have superb organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Exceptionally strong attention to detail is a must
- Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information discretely and with diplomacy
- Ability to multi-task
- Proficiency in MS office, Excel and Outlook
- Publishing experience, Foreign Rights experience, contract and royalty experience preferred
- Passion for books strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Managing a high volume of documents
- Managing electronic and paper filing system
- Contract administration
- Researching details of both domestic and foreign publishing contracts
- Summarizing complex data
- Other administrative duties as required
This position affords an opportunity to learn the mechanics of publishing contracts and would provide an introduction to the business side of publishing for candidates considering a future in the business.
