ICM Partners, a major talent and literary agency with offices in NYC, LA, and London, is seeking an exceptional, resourceful, highly organized Assistant to support a busy agent in our Theatre Department. This is an exciting position where knowledge and passion for theatre is essential. The successful candidate will be motivated, a self-starter, extremely task/detail-oriented, and know how to juggle all the responsibilities of a busy agent with grace and professionalism. You must have prior entertainment industry experience and or extensive knowledge of the New York theatre landscape.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree required
- Strong knowledge and awareness of theatre landscape
- Must be professional under all circumstances, cultured, well-read, and curious to learn
- Previous experience at agency, producing office, general management office or comparable environments strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years previous administrative experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding time management, project management, and multi-tasking skills
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Organized and analytical
- Must be computer literate and be proficient in Microsoft Outlook (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Seeking long term commitment to position (at least 1+ year) and ability to start immediately
Responsibilities:
- Answering and directing a high volume of phone calls
- Interfacing with clients and managers
- Coverage of shows and scripts
- Schedule meetings, trips and organize expenses
- Preparing and tracking contracts
- Be able to interact with colleagues at all levels and in various departments within the Company
- Handle pressure in a professional manner
- Excellent problem solver with ability to make sound decisions quickly; use practical approaches
- Additional responsibilities as they occur with the expansion and development of the department
- Long hours are routine
