Assistant to Theater Agent
ICM Partners, a major talent and literary agent with offices in NYC, LA, and London, is seeking an exceptional, resourceful, highly organized Assistant to support one of their Theater Agents. This is an exciting position where knowledge and passion for theater is essential. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and extremely detail-oriented. You must have prior entertainment industry experience.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree required
- Agency or General Management experienced is strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years administrative experience required (strong internships will be considered)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding time management, project management, and multi-tasking skills
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Must be organized and analytical
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to make a one-year commitment and start immediately
Responsibilities:
- Answering and directing a high volume of phone calls
- Interfacing with clients and managers
- Maintain and work with high volume of email correspondences
- Preparing and tracking contracts
- Be able to interact with colleagues at all levels and in departments across the Company
- Handle pressure in a professional manner
- Manage and see through contract and payment processing
- Responsible for booking and maintaining a thorough database using internal e-platform
- Make sound decisions quickly using practical approaches
- Additional responsibilities as they occur with expansion and development of the Theater Department
- Read plays, scripts, and provide coverage
- Attend readings and report back to agents
- Long hours are routine!
