We are seeking a Director of Finance for our Sherman Oaks, CA office.
This position is based in Sherman Oaks and will report directly to the CEO. The successful candidate will be an integral member of the Hyde Park organization.
The person should be well-organized, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and be able to dedicate the required energy to be successful. Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports, contracts and legal documents. Ability to effectively present information to top management. Ability to apply principles of accounting and finance to a wide range of practical business issues.
Primary accountabilities include billing and collections for international sales, preparation of financial statements, guild residuals, audits, secondary rights, participation statements and office management. The person must also be familiar with production accounting, to the extent of prep and post accounting, budgeting, cash flows, bank reconciliations and audits.
The ideal candidate will possess 5+ years of relevant financial/accounting experience working in the motion picture and/or television industry. The candidate should have a strong background in financial planning and analysis as well as accounting and financial reporting.
MBA and/or CPA preferred.
