We are currently seeking a capable individual to join our team as a Technical Assistant. Job Overview:
This client facing role that assists with the installation of post-production equipment for Hula Post customers. The Technical Assistant also handles other deliveries that do not require installation and participates in projects and tasks both internal and external per the discretion of the scheduling department.
Job Responsibilities:
• Contribute in a positive manner to a work environment built on communication, cooperation,
• Work with team members to guarantee customer satisfaction in line with the company reputation for excellence.
• Back up integration technicians when they are out of the office or understaffed, by performing their job responsibilities when necessary and where possible.
• Participate in the assembly and integration of all systems and equipment on-site when scheduled to do so by the scheduling department.
• Properly file technical operations reports for every on-site visit, when you are assigned as the primary technician on the job, or if you complete a solo task in the field.
• Receive technical training when required and/or requested.
• Lift, Carry, Load and Unload equipment into transportation vehicles for delivery and pick up.
• Participate in regular Team meetings.
• Provide support for the delivery of equipment.
• Perform other duties as required or assigned.
• Provide the Scheduling department with updates on arrival, departure as well as report issues while on site with the client.
• Be available for overtime, evening or weekend work as business demands.
Minimum Qualifications: The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position. Please note that the minimum qualifications may vary based upon the department size and/or geographic location.
• Detail-oriented
• Strong Time Management Skills
• Have familiarity or interest in Broadcast and Post Production Technology
• Have excellent follow-through & client rapport
• Have strong problem-solving skills
• Self-starter and detail oriented.
• Strict confidentiality in dealing with people inside and outside of company.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated
• Common sense
Preferred Skills:
• 1-2 years trade school education specializing in mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Professional appearance and stature
Physical Demands:
• Must be able to see, hear, speak and write clearly in order to communicate with employees and/or other customers; manual dexterity required for occasional reaching and lifting of small objects, and operating office equipment.
• At times a work day can exceed the 8 hour minimum, employees must have the physical and mental endurance to work over-time.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be comfortable moving equipment utilizing rolling case, carts or dollies.
Work Environment:
• The Integration Shop contains various tools and equipment required to perform the job. Technicians must be comfortable working around these tools and occasional noise that accompanies them.
• The shop has a variety of equipment that constantly moves around. Individuals must be aware of cabling running along the floor while technicians are preparing equipment and avoid them. You can access your office without having to move through the Integration Shop.
• This job requires the Technician to go on mobile service jobs. This involves time spent in cars, trucks, or vans for 1 - 2 hour stretches.
