HollyShorts Film Festival(HSFF) is an annual short film festival showcasing the best and brightest short films from around the globe. HollyShorts is devoted to the advancement of filmmakers through a series of monthly screenings, Q&A sessions and networking events. The HollyShorts Film Festival® showcases the top short films produced 40-minutes or less.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR: We're seeking talented and ambitious people who would like to volunteer their time. Volunteers work throughout the Festival in all areas. We're looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, outgoing, willing to work and who are passionate about film, media or entertainment! Outside of day-to-day responsibilities, volunteers will also have the opportunity to attend our industry run panels, exclusive after parties and the opportunity to network with various directors from all over the country. We are currently looking for volunteers to start immediately who are interested. Volunteers who work just the festival period are asked to commit to at least three shifts, which generally will range from three to-six hours, depending on assignment.
Tasks will vary, but an idea of what areas we will need help in: Opening night set up & strike, gift bag distribution, general PR assistance, general ticket sales, crowd polling, projection supervision, panel set ups, as well as various other tasks. If you have an interest in a specific area- please let us know. This year, the Hollyshorts Film Festival is also looking for volunteers who have consistent and regular time weekly to help out in the lead-up to the festival. If you have time and are interested in starting your festival experience early, please indicate that in your email. Please note that this is a volunteer situation but will be a great addition to your resume and you will have an all access pass to any and all events the entire week.
