HITRECORD is looking for a highly organized, intuitive and responsible person to manage the business aspects of hitRECord including Financial, Human Resources and Business Affairs components.
Job Purpose
• Manages the business activities of hitRECord. Maximizes return on financial assets by establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems. Serves as internal review for contractual and business documents.
Job Duties
• Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
• Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
• Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits; providing information to external auditors.
• Maximizes return, and limits risk, on cash by minimizing bank balances.
• Prepares budgets by establishing schedules; collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data; recommending plans.
• Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
• Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
• Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financial reports; advising management on needed actions.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
• Works with external production partners to establish financial processes and approval procedures.
• Increases management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining staff; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions.
• Business Operations Manager will be a part of the strategic planning for internal company projects & productions with an eye to financial, legal and human resources components.
• Help research the financial and business viability of productions.
• Oversee Record Store (Online Merch Account) from a managerial perspective through maintaining reporting and liaising with fulfillment group to maximize profits.
• Manage Contributor Payment procedures including reporting, distribution, payment processing, and follow-up.
Skills/Qualifications:
Managing Processes, Financial Software (QuickBooks), Developing Standards, Audit, Accounting, Corporate Finance, Tracking Budget Expenses, Financial Skills, Analyzing Information, Developing Budgets, Performance Management, Familiarity with Legal Documents, Recruiting and Training, Production Finance. Diverse professional backgrounds encouraged; good vibes a must.
