Position Summary Statement:
This position is to maintain superior professional production standards, to achieve industry best practices in audio visual planning, organization and production, as well delivery of company messages as an extremely memorable, technically impressive, and highly entertaining experience to world-wide event audiences while insuring that each event meets the demands of event member planning committees, regional stakeholders, and senior management.
Detailed Responsibilities/Duties:
• Set up onsite meetings for Director which includes blocking time for rehearsing of performances, special effects, lighting, video, and music moments as well as overall video coverage of the event.
• Show caller: Includes developing and live calling of performance, effects, lighting, video, and music sequences at events.
• TD/Switcher: ability to switch and direct up to 5 cameras
• Assist in the procurement, which may require submitting RFP's for review and confirmation as well as management of onsite technical crew contractors
• Oversee preparation, presentation, delivery, playback and management of event video elements.
• Oversee load in of audio visual equipment and backstage set-up at events.
• Manage creation and archive process of event rundowns.
• Manage review process for speaker presentations.
• Manage event video archive process.
• Establish and manage backstage production processes.
• Review video specs and billing as needed.
• Recommend adjustments to audio and video specs as needed.
• Recommend adjustments to backstage rider as related to event production.
• Co-ordinate ordering and delivery of show tape stock, media drives and technical deliverables.
• Attend, participate, and advise in production and planning meetings.
• 45 % travel throughout the year for worldwide events
Required Qualitifications:
Skills:
• Bilingual in Spanish & English
• Ability to travel international 40% of the year
• PC & Mac Proficient
• Keynote & PowerPoint Proficient
• Thorough working knowledge of all aspects in the audio visual realm
• Working knowledge of lighting, set construction, staging
• Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under general supervision
• Ability to organize workload for effective implementation
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity
• Strong results-driven orientation
• Ability to function as an effective team member
• Effective professional-level presentation & interaction with staff, distributors, senior management, crews, and vendors
• Thorough working knowledge and use of camera switchers with the ability to direct and switch cameras
Experience:
• 7 years demonstrated experience within the audio/visual industry with direct hands on equipment experience.
• 5 years live event crew experience.
• 3 years direct live show audio visual set up experience.
Education:
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree or some college coursework completed
• International experience
• 5 years experience at an AV Rental/Production company
• 3 years experience using Playback Pro
• Complete understanding and use of Final Cut Pro
• Complete understanding and use of Adobe products: After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro
• Use of any combination of the following switchers: Grass Valley DD1, Grass Valley Kahuna, Barco FSN
