Hawthorne Direct is looking for a Junior Copywriter to join their creative team. We're looking for writers who understand their audience and can write with them in mind; who know when to write smart versus writing cute; who feel that long-form and short-form are just two different ways to tell the story. This individual needs to go beyond just a single execution of a great print ad or a clever social post and think of how the idea translates to a campaign, across a wide range of mediums.
Ideal candidates will have at least 6 months of experience in advertising, digital and/or online advertising. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. Portfolio demonstrating conceptual ability required.
Above all, we are looking for a creative thinker who is passionate about advertising. We work hard, have fun, and most of all, and have the desire to be doing great work. This is a great opportunity for individuals who want to work on national accounts and across a variety of media.
So, are you a passionate team-player that wants to put their skills to work? Send us a link to your site. We would love to take a look. You will have a great support team around you as you learn and grow.
Qualifications / Requirements:
• At least 6 months of experience in advertising, digital and/or online advertising.
• Four year college education, film school or communications major preferable.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Detail oriented and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Have basic knowledge of MS office products, i.e., MS Word and Windows environment.
• Interest in writing and advertising.
• Portfolio demonstrating conceptual ability required.
