Search for Media Buyer Assistant jobs in Fairfield-IA
Supports all aspects of the management and development of advertising time purchased by the Media Buying team for all media types; providing assistance as instructed, adding to the profitability of the media buy and to the Media Services Department, and maintaining a positive, results-oriented relationship with all Hawthorne personnel, clients, stations and vendors.
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Education/work experience: Two years of post high school education or minimum of two years related office experience.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to work overtime occasional.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate with station contacts as needed on a regular and coordinated basis. Communication with all station contacts should be primarily by phone and email (for creating paper trails), with faxes used as a secondary communication.
- Assist with all buying functions, this includes prelogs, postlogs, clearance reports and purchased schedules.
- Responsible for obtaining all confirmations back including buys, revisions, cancels, and traffic in accordance to the procedures.
- Responsible for calling stations with all late title revisions.
- Process and follow-up on dub requests/traffic changes, as needed.
- Research and follow up on all telecast discrepancies weekly.
- Answer and respond with the appropriate action to incoming calls.
- Research and resolve all invoice discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain all paper filing as necessary.
- Proficient at utilizing in-house proprietary systems.
- Cross training in other areas.
- Update system station files and enter system revisions as needed.
- Implement new station set ups / traffic requirement information.
- Actively participate in department meetings with a commitment to expressing new ideas and solutions.
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned based on company needs.
- Secure and process all short form with exact time confirmations.
