The Entry Level Accountant provides support to department activities with specific responsibility for the processing, recording, updating and reconciling fiscal information in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Accounting
-Assist Creative/Production Accountant with
+processing Media Duplication weekly and monthly billing.
+preparing the General and Media weekly cash reports and forwards to the Director of Accounting for review.
+with vendor deposit reconciliations.
-Process the daily deposit and prepare cash receipts forms.
-Enter daily general cash receipts in Sage 100 ERP system.
-Setup project numbers in Sage 100 ERP system.
-Assist Sr. Media Accounting Specialist.
-Backup Electronic Station Affidavit/Invoice process.
-Digital Media Billing and Reconciliations.
-Reconcile Production petty cash.
-Prepare the monthly investment summary.
-Prepare the revenue/expense actual breakdown for the cash flow projections.
-Reconcile General petty cash.
-Department Purchasing Agent.
-Reconcile the Suspense account monthly.
-Assist the Director of Accounting with
+Media and Duplication Reconciliations.
+updating the Media Pre-bill worksheet.
+Media client cash flow analysis.
-Assist Fixed Assets Administrator with updating FAS database and annual company inventory.
-Prepare journal entries.
-Performs various tasks as assigned to support the month-end and year-end Financial Statement preparation.
-Assist with implementing and maintaining internal and financial controls and procedures.
-Assist with preparation and coordination of the internal audit process.
-Provides backup and overflow support for other Media and General Accounting staff responsibilities.
-Assist Accounting and Finance with special projects including financial and process improvements.
-Provides/utilizes leadership and project management responsibilities/skills within the Accounting team as requested or assigned.
-Represents team, participates in discussions/meetings and responds to inquiries regarding functions in absence of the Director of -Accounting for internal and external client situations.
-Provides recommendations to the Director of Accounting for improving productivity and addressing morale issues in the Accounting department.
-Develops and/or maintains current procedures for all duties performed.
-Filing and organizing of accounting documents in on-line shared folders.
-Works flexible schedule and/or overtime as required.
