With the growth of our business, the importance of having experienced creative voices that understand the idea of story telling, and the tools of production, is critical to the propelling of brand initiatives. This role must have an advanced understanding of the entire production, animation and post-production process. Cake Mix creates over 300 pieces of original content each year and as we grow towards becoming a fully integrated in house agency, we need to expand our teams of art directors and copy writers to support the creative direction of the group. CakeMix supports all of the brands of Hasbro not just in RI, but globally.
Description:
With the growth of our business, the importance of having experienced creative voices that understand the idea of story telling, and the tools of production, is critical to the propelling of brand initiatives. This role must have an advanced understanding of the entire production, animation and post-production process. Cake Mix creates over 300 pieces of original content each year and as we grow towards becoming a fully integrated in house agency, we need to expand our teams of art directors and copy writers to support the creative direction of the group. CakeMix supports all of the brands of Hasbro not just in RI, but globally.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Creative Director you will:
•Collaborate with marketing and brand teams for strategic direction and input and translate that input into breakthrough conceptual creative:
•Help to lead the creative vision for the overall look and feel of each original piece of content
•Demonstrate an ability to understand and interpret art direction communication challenges and creative strategies for all Cake Mix clients
•Develop, generate, and execute high level visual ideas focusing on digital entertainment, broadcast commercials and marketing content
•Produce sketches, storyboards, mood boards or style frames to communicate ideas
•Manage multiple projects ranging from existing client work to new business pursuits
•Mentor and support full time art directors.
•Ability to manage full time staff.
•Oversee freelance/temp creative resources to meet timelines and creative deliverables
•Create and own ideas through every step of the production and post-production process
•Work closely with the copywriters to generate creative ideas and concepts to fulfill the client's brief
•Confer with creative director, producer, editing, motion graphics, copy-writing, or production teams to discuss brand team requirements and develop presentation concepts, and to coordinate creative executions
•Formulate visual designs and create concept details, such as creative executional use of, graphics, animation, video and sound
•Pitch and sell ideas to clients
•Work closely with the copywriters, producers, cinematographer and/or production company to oversee physical production of creative content
•Visit and assess locations for potential shoots
•Work in editing suites to oversee the finished product
•Work within budget and scheduling requirements.
•Work with director/cinematographer/art dept. during broadcast shoots
Education and Experience Requirements:
•Bachelor of Arts
•Strong sense of design, production, post-production, music, animation and visual effects.
•5+ years experience in an advertising, internal or digital marketing agency
•Able to manage multiple projects in a FAST-PACED work environment
•Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint
Critical Skills:
Success will be measured in a variety of areas including but not limited to:
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to work well under pressure while juggling multiple projects
• Ability to problem solve
• Ability to interact professionally with Agency team and clients
• Ability to stay current and grow with marketing trends/methodologies, technology and software advances
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new software
• Ability to overcome technical challenges
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines
• Ability to create, implement and follow processes
• Ability to manage and mentor less experienced art directors
• Ability to ideate visual solutions and execute them in various formats, including print, digital, and broadcast
