Hasbro Studios is seeking an HR Generalist to provides human resources support for our Burbank office, which has corporate, entertainment, licensing, and on-site production teams. This position will partner with our entertainment, licensing in the areas of employee relations, compensation, recruitment, reporting, management / employee coaching, organizational development and change management, as well as with work with line producers on production staffing and guild matters.
This role requires strategic thinking, strong communication, time management skills and the willingness to provide high quality tactical and transactional support. The ideal candidate is a pro-active, confident individual that has the ability to problem solve and multi-task.
Responsibilities
• Employee relations: Act as first point of contact for employee relations' issues at our Burbank location, which includes Hasbro entertainment, licensing, and studio productions. Works under the direction of the VP HR in corporate to formulate and communicate recommendations related to employee relations issues.
• Recruiting: Recruit for all levels of staff including temps and full time positions for the Burbank site. Will own the new hire and exit process for corporate and production staff.
• HR Programs: Partner with VP HR and HR shared services teams in the execution and delivery of programs and services (training, compensation, salary & bonus administration).
• Change Management: Partner with VP HR to provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning.
• Production support: Manages show onboarding/lay-offs, non-union benefits, labor relations, and any other production/guild issues.
• Community/Fun Events: Leads a team on monthly employee events, special events, and community service projects.
• Special Projects: Act as resource for special projects and HR programs, and any other activities that may be assigned.
Qualifications
• College Degree preferred and 4+ years HR experience in entertainment with own client groups.
• Experienced with building good interpersonal relationships (will work with business & HR teams in locally, corporate and globally).
• Knowledge of HRIS applications (SAP); strong project management and analytical skills.
• Experience working with Taleo and sourcing candidates.
• Guild experience a plus (local 834, 700).
• Can handle sensitive and confidential information and situations and use appropriate discretion.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, work rapidly, set priorities, still have high quality deliverables and strong follow through.
• Strong communication skills both written and oral. Ability to deliver clear and succinct messages
• MS office, strong excel and presentation software skills
