Hello from Halfway House!
We are a boutique record label/management firm with a thriving community of young creatives around us. From platinum-selling recording artists to songwriters to photographers to directors to executives to entrepreneurs, Halfway House is more than an artist empowerment platform -- it's an extended family. We're looking for an Operations Intern to join that family.
As far as track record, our first label signee amassed ~80M collective streams in his first year with the label, one of our director clients has several billion views on his work, and a production team we manage is working on a feature film for a major motion picture studio. So, yeah -- we are proud of what our team has accomplished. With a major focus on artist development, we are a content-first team. This means that we are highly selective with our signings and management clients, as we dedicate our lives to empowering them to put out meaningful content that will engender life-long fans and future creators, themselves.
As you might have guessed, this means that we are equally selective with who we bring into our circle. If we are going to inject you into our community of twentysomethings making big changes in the creative space, we're going to need to know that we operate on the same frequency and can trust each other completely.
First and foremost, we are looking for an Operations Intern to support with the day-to-day logistics and organization of the firm. As you spend more time with us -- and we have more ''data'' to assess your strengths -- your role could evolve to include higher level duties.
What you won't be asked to do (or minimally):
Keep us caffeinated
Keep us fed
Keep us clean
What you will be asked to do:
Report directly to label executives
Support day-to-day operations for label
Support day-to-day management of current roster, including calendar maintenance
Support organization and maintenance of assets from artwork to .WAVs to press releases
Support A&R by keeping track of artist/manager communications and sessions
Maintain up-to-date records of streaming and social #'s for current roster
Maintain up-to-date artist press kits
Who you are:
Proficient with G Suite (Gmail, Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Etc.)
Type-A personality
Outstanding time management and multi-tasking skills
Ability to work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
Outstanding organization skills
Highly detail-oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with extreme discretion
Ability to interface with executives, artists, and managers with politeness and savvy
Professional and punctual
